Wedding Inspiration | Styled Wedding Photo Shoot At The Old Lodge, Malton
I am soooo excited to share this amazing collaboration with you, a styled wedding photo shoot to give you inspiration and connections to some awesome vendors to help with your wedding planning and make your dream day a reality.
Who else loves black? Most of my wardrobe is black, but I’m a HUGE fan of colour. I figured it was about time I expressed that and at the same time, show you how you can do it too.
It was so good to work with both new and “old” wedding venders (the ones I know and love).
Gemma runs The Topiary Tree and created stunning bouquets and other pieces for the photo shoot, including a sparkly wand for our flower girl! They made the perfect centre for colour and beauty throughout the day.
You may know Katie, makeup artist and owner of Beauty by KB. She’s my go-to gal for makeup and 100% needs to be yours too! Her skills blow me away and her passion for what she does is equally as neat.
Then there is hair stylist, Helen who made awesome hair happen. Helen is one of my favourite humans, positive, super friendly and again, very talented! You should see some of the people she has worked with, just before the shoot it was Mr Motivator!
Both ladies knew exactly how to bring the look of the models together.
Another key part to the look of our models was the gorgeous dresses provided by Perfect Day Bridal, from the lovely Julie.
Julie picked the perfect dresses that fit with the theme of the day, which, by the way, was BRIGHT and BOLD. A Beautiful bridal gown, short at the front and floor length at the back, matched with tiara and long veil that Charlotte totally rocked, a sweet flower girl dress for Mollie that I finished off with an orange ribbon to tie it in to the theme (to match mum’s shoes) and a blue bridesmaid dress, that I would never have picked out but fell totally in love with as soon as Jordan put it on.
Heidi sent over the most gorgeous garter I’ve seen, custom made, classic and elegant, and with embroidered handkerchiefs too. Not only were Heidi’s products gorgeous but her packaging too! Definitely an Extra Special Touch and befitting of her business name.
The Old Lodge is a beautiful building, surrounded by gorgeous grounds and a surrounding wall. It made the best venue for this outdoor wedding.
Where do I even start on the cake. It was simply perfection. Kati’s cakery has talents beyond compare, Katalin picked up the theme exactly, with delicacy, colour and bold HAND MADE flowers to top it off.
Lianne of Loveli created wedding stationary, again, perfectly fit for the theme of the day. Invitations with RSVP’s, menus and name place cards. Lianne also worked with Claire from Savon to create matching tags for Claire’s wedding favours. Claire provided tapered candles and the cute candle jars (we may have used them as mini vases).
Let’s not forget about our Groom, Jonn-Claude. Greenwoods of Scarborough provided the suit, with tails! The absolutely AMAZING ties and cufflinks were made and sent by Catherine from CatkinJane and honestly, if I was male and wore ties I’d have bought them off her there and then, definitely check out her website if you want something different for your groom/ yourself.
I wanted to make sure you know all about these amazing people who helped me create this vision, now check out the gallery for yourself.
A great big THANK YOU to everyone involved <3
